Kanvasys, a division of Idéeclic, receives a financial contribution for its new product inSitu Solutions
Gatineau, February 5, 2010 – The Kanvays Corporation, a division of Idéeclic, has received several important financial contributions from the Federal and Quebec Provincial governments to help launch their new product inSitu SolutionsTM, fruit of the hard work of their research and development division. The Minister of Foreign Affaires, honourable Lawrence Canon and the Hull Deputy to the National Assembly, Mrs. Maryse Gaudreault, announced this new funding today during a press conference at Idéeclic’s new offices in the Centre de recherche des technologies langagières at the University du Quebec en Outaouais (UQO).
inSitu SolutionsTM is a new digital, interactive, guide product line, combining the power of mobile devices (GPS units, Smart Phones, etc.) interactive terminals and the Web with important content and information, allowing visitors to truly engage with a site. The authorized funds will allow Idéeclic to improve and market the product. Research and development expenses were assumed by the National Research Council of Canada which, thanks to its program designed to help with industrial research (CNRC-PARI), contributed to Idéeclic’s effort and investment, aiming to accelerate the development of inSitu SolutionsTM.
“At Idéeclic/Kanvasys, we are very happy with the contributions offered by the governments of Canada and Quebec to support the branding of this very promising product. It is a perfect fit with the complete line of our products and services that are developed to facilitate the transfer of traditional museum contents and will integrate interactive multimedia and multiplatform experiences. Our new product will enable us to carry out the mission of the company outside Quebec”, said the President and CEO of Idéeclic, Mr. Alain Massé.
The multiplatform application InSitu SolutionsTM was conceived to allow organizations to showcase contextual contents specifically adapted to their target audiences. Thanks to this new application, Kanvasys is reinventing cultural tourism via an interactive multi-media mobile platform that can be used both inside and out - making it perfect for museums, parks, churches, zoos and aquariums, as well as cities and UNESCO world heritage sites. Mr. Massé, currently on a business trip in Paris for the next four months, has good reason to be delighted when it comes to the future of inSitu SolutionsTM: the product is already causing a buzz in French institutions.
